Beautiful, quite, peaceful place to camp or stay at a cabin. Enjoy boating on or swimming in Catfish Pond and hike some of the region's best trails including the Appalachian Trail, which you will drive over on your way into camp. Managed by Appalachian Mountain Club.
Came to AMC for a getaway with the family and we enjoyed it. We went to stay in one of the cabins and it was well maintained. Canoeing over there was fun and beautiful! We hope to come here again!
Great place to grab something to munch or something different to drink either during a hike, or at the end of one. Close to both the AT and the Rattlesnake Swamp trails.
This is a real treasure in Northwestern NJ. The AMC rents this site from the National Park Service and is the Southernmost section of all their camping sites. We go both in the summer to swim in lake and to hike. In the winter, they have many less visitors, but the hiking is still wonderful.There are both campsites here and cabins. The AMC has worked over the years to make the cabins nicer. Hiking along the Appalachian Trail that runs along the edge of Mohican is one of the nicest local hikes in the area.
